The fine print
Terms and disclaimer
The plain-language version of what this website is for, and what its words, tools and pictures should and shouldn't be taken as.
The content is general guidance
The guides, glossary and page copy on this site explain garage doors in general terms. They're written carefully and honestly, but no web page can see your door. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a quote, a safety certification or advice about your specific situation; that only comes from someone assessing the actual door at your place.
The tools give a first read, not a verdict
The door checker and the clearance helper turn what you tell them into likely causes and rough margins. They are deliberately cautious and deliberately general. They never promise a fix, a price or a fit, and their output shouldn't be relied on for any decision beyond "it's worth getting this looked at". Measurements are confirmed on site before any work or order.
Safety comes first, always
Some parts of a garage door, particularly the spring system, store enough force to cause serious injury. Where this site says a job isn't a DIY job, that isn't marketing, it's the honest safety position of the trade. If a door is off its track, has dropped, or has had a spring let go, stop using it and keep people clear of the opening until it's been made safe.
Images
Some images on this site are illustrative, stock or generated, and are used to show the kind of place and work described rather than a specific completed job.
Brand names
Door and opener brands mentioned on this site (such as B&D, Steel-Line, Merlin or ATA) are the trademarks of their owners. They're mentioned descriptively, because they're the products people ask about. We claim no authorised-dealer, agent or partnership status with any brand.
The legal line
This site is provided in good faith and kept accurate to the best of our ability, without warranties as to completeness. Nothing on it limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on the site's general content rather than an on-site assessment.
